ROLE PURPOSE:

  • He/she will be responsible to expand and drive sustainable growth of Aspen portfolio in GCC region through commercial excellence knowledge, delivering best in class marketing strategies and driving implementation and optimization excellence through driving on ground and digital marketing tactics and activities.
  • He/she understands the global and local strategies and collaborates with key support functions to create a tailored marketing strategy approach that reflects the dynamics of the region, while maintaining budgetary stewardship and a close eye on profitability.
  • The role is part of Regional Marketing team and would require the person to work closely with both regional peers and the respective country sales and marketing teams.
  • The position reports directly to Central Marketing Manager - EME

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing & driving marketing strategies and brand plans across the GCC region and continuous follow-up to ensure their implementation.
  • Analyzing competitor activity, Market Share, Sales & develop counteractive strategies.
  • Ability to show examples of how to develop, coach and enable high performance teams and proactively promote best practice and knowledge sharing.
  • Ability to work within highly matrix environments and cross functional and multicultural teams.
  • Helping to set and validate annual sales budgets and long-term plan for assigned products.
  • Training and guiding the sales force with skills and innovative promotion for achieving commercial objectives.
  • Full responsibility, management, tracking and reporting of territory approved A&P.
  • Support market access initiatives to establish Aspen portfolio presence within tenders and major accounts.
  • Continuously assess field force deployment and provide practical recommendations to ensure effective brands promotional strategies.
  • OTC campaigns and pharmacy retail space advertising - planning and execution through comprehensive understanding of this domain dynamics and ability to engage key customers.
  • Planning for new products launches starting with prelaunch activities, successful launch and post launch tracking and reporting.
  • Knowledge and expertise to drive digital marketing strategies, campaigns and tactics in addition to direct to consumers campaigns metrics and best practices.
  • Developing and rolling-out promotional materials before commencement of the promotional cycle.
  • Interaction with internal and external customers; KOLs, Hospitals, advertising agencies, Health ministry officials, AGI, Group, local agents in different countries.
  • Organizing and attending international congresses/CMEs/Stand Alone meetings both regionally and locally.
  • Supporting validation of “In-licensing” search and provide strategic vision of the current and future pipeline by supporting gap list search, profiling opportunities and building business cases.
  • Assessing therapeutic trends in various markets.
  • Planning and implementing capability and or action to drive product and performance.
  • Provide support and attend tasks as required by the job scope and line manager requests.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any medical related field. MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in brand management.
  • Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing GCC experience is a plus.
  • Specialty care experience in multinational pharmaceutical company is a must. Experience with OTC products is a plus.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Sales & Marketing know-how essential - Good Knowledge
  • Experience in setting up promotional arrangements and managing same with distributors - Good Experience
  • Proven track record of sales and marketing performance - Good Record
  • Fluency in Arabic & English essential (verbal & written), French is a plus - Expert
