Position Summary

To assist in the implementation of the talent acquisition and onboarding processes while fostering KAPSARC’s employer value proposition, in order to support timely hiring of suitable and best fitted talent for KAPSARC.


Major Accountabilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Leverage internal and external recruitment channels to announce vacant jobs and source qualified candidates.
  • Use assessments and interviews to filter candidates and determine the extent to which their qualifications and experience meet the requirements of KAPSARC’s vacant jobs.
  • Prepare offer letters and employment contracts to selected candidates and communicate with them to ensure their acceptance.
  • Oversee international recruitment operations for expatriate candidates and maintain professional relationship with recruitment agencies in order to source qualified candidates.

Employee Onboarding

  • Implement the onboarding processes including corporate induction/ orientation, joining formalities and related records to enhance the new hires experience and engagement at the time of joining KAPSARC.
  • Follow-up with relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely execution of the onboarding plan and activities, in order to support the new hires to settle smoothly in the new workplace.

Special Programs Coordination

  • Oversee the implementation of special programs (Graduate Development Program, Internship, Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, etc.) – including facilitating the interview and selection process, trainee orientation, and coordinating with relevant departments to ensure seamless execution and placement of ambitious talents.

HR Business Partnering

  • Communicate with managers and employees to proactively understand their HR requirements and ensure that they receive the needed support in a timely manner.
  • Seek feedback about the HR practices from managers and employees and suggest recommendations for improvement, in order to ensure the deployment of effective HR practices in line with KAPSARC’s employer value proposition and appropriate to the organization culture.
  • Assist the compensation and benefits team in analyzing jobs and updating job descriptions in collaboration with managers, in order to maintain updated job descriptions within KAPSARC.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures

  • Provide inputs to the design and implementation of policies, systems, and procedure so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Reporting

  • Analyze the information and prepare reports and dashboards in a timely and accurate manner to meet the requirements, policies, and quality standards.

Related Assignments

  • Perform any other duties which the organization may require to be carried out.

Qualifications and Experience

Recommended Qualifications and Years of Experience

Associate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or any other related field with 4-7 years of relevant experience or
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or any other related field with 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in talent acquisition is a must
  • Professional certification such as CIPD/ SHRM/ SPHR is preferred
