Job Description

Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Senior Architect Engineer / Manager to join our dynamic PMC team. The ideal candidate will independently perform a wide range of conventional and moderately complex architectural assignments, applying established design standards, practices, and techniques from a site-based office location reporting to the Design Director.

This role requires discretion and independent judgment in managing original designs, proficiency in standard architectural methodologies, and a thorough understanding of PMC procedures and technical requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conducts architectural design reviews under established design criteria to ensure conformance with the client requirements, basis of design, document standards, safety in design, constructability and technical provisions.
• Compliance with quality requirements and building codes.
• Shop drawings and construction technical submission reviews from contractors.
• Prepares related reports and documentation covering the PMC scope of works.
• Reviews CAD drawings, BIM models, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards prepared by consultant Architectural Designers.
• Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Interfaces with contractors, supervision consultants and suppliers as required to ensure project needs are met.
• Coordinates work with engineering and construction teams at the project site.
• Reviews issues in detailed design, construction drawings, shop drawings and specifications prepared by others.
• Offers technical guidance to Architectural Designers / Engineers / Drafters working on the same project.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this senior PMC position as needed.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture (or equivalent) is required and typically 15+ years of Related Experience, or Master’s degree and typically 10+ years related experience.
• Professional registration is required at this level.
• PMC or Design Management experience preferred with international consultants, other related service providers or contractors working in luxury hospitality, high-end residential or F&B specialties.
  
  
  

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Requires proficiency in the application of architectural design standards, practices, and techniques, as well as construction site supervision experience of luxury Architecture and Fit-Out works.
• Proficiency in CAD, BIM and other typical PC software packages typically associated with architectural design is also required.
• Design coordination management experience with multiple stakeholders and international consultants.
• Experience in dealing with large and complex client stakeholder relationships.
