Overview:

As the Gen AI Data and Data Security Advisory Manager, the candidate will lead a team of security experts providing strategic guidance and advisory services to ensure the security and integrity of client organizations' data assets and artificial intelligence systems, particularly in the context of the emerging Gen AI demographic. The candidate will collaborate with client stakeholders to assess risks, develop tailored security solutions, and drive continuous improvement in data and AI security practices, with a keen focus on addressing the unique security challenges posed by Gen AI technologies and users.

Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Advisory: Provide strategic guidance and advisory services to client leadership and key stakeholders on Gen AI data and AI security risks, trends, and best practices.

  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Lead comprehensive risk assessments of client data and AI systems, specifically considering the impact and vulnerabilities associated with Gen AI technologies and user behaviors, and develop tailored risk mitigation strategies.

  • Security Framework Development: Design and implement data and AI security frameworks and methodologies that are responsive to the unique characteristics and requirements of Gen AI technologies and users, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Security Policy and Standards Development: Develop and maintain data and AI security policies, standards, and guidelines that address the specific challenges and opportunities presented by Gen AI technologies and user behaviors, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Security Awareness and Training: Develop and deliver comprehensive training and awareness programs to educate client employees, particularly those interacting with Gen AI technologies and users, on data and AI security risks and best practices.

  • Incident Response Planning and Management: Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures for client data and AI security incidents, with specific considerations for addressing incidents involving Gen AI technologies and users, ensuring timely and effective response and recovery.

  • Vendor Risk Management: Evaluate and manage security risks associated with third-party vendors and service providers involved in client data and AI operations, with a focus on assessing their ability to support Gen AI security requirements and mitigating risks associated with Gen AI technologies and users.

  • Security Governance and Compliance: Establish and maintain effective security governance processes for client organizations, including regular security reviews, audits, and compliance assessments, with a focus on ensuring alignment with Gen AI security requirements and standards.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with client cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, legal, and compliance, to integrate Gen AI-specific security considerations into all aspects of data and AI initiatives, from design to deployment.

  • Continuous Improvement and Research: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in Gen AI security, and drive continuous improvement initiatives for client organizations to enhance security posture in alignment with the evolving landscape of Gen AI technologies and users.


  • Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience in data and AI security, with a focus on providing advisory services and strategic guidance for client organizations.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical client stakeholders.

  • In-depth knowledge of data privacy and protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and industry standards.

  • In-depth understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, and neural networks.

  • Experience with cloud security best practices and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Experience with security frameworks and methodologies (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, NCA, NDMO).

  • Experience with security risk assessment methodologies and tools.

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading security advisory engagements for client organizations in a complex, multi-platform environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically to address security challenges.

  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team in a client-facing, fast-paced, dynamic environment.
