Security Consultant - Microsoft Security

HelpAG is looking for a talented and experienced Security Consultant - Microsoft Security who will have a key role in driving Microsoft security and compliance solutions within the Hyperscalers team. This role will require expertise in Microsoft Purview (Compliance, Information Protection, Risk Management) & Defender Suite (XDR, Defender for Cloud, Identity, Endpoint, and Office 365) to enhance security operations, threat management, and compliance frameworks for our customers. The security consultant will also lead engagements, technical delivery, and service innovation, ensuring seamless alignment with our MSSP strategy and Microsoft partnership. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams, Microsoft, and enterprise customers to develop standardized security offerings, recurring services, and automation-driven security solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Microsoft Purview & Defender Security Expertise:
• Lead design, deployment, and optimization of Microsoft Purview & Defender solutions, ensuring compliance, data security, and threat mitigation.
• Implement and fine-tune Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, and Microsoft Sentinel for enhanced threat visibility and response.
• Define and configure Microsoft Purview solutions, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Insider Risk Management, Compliance Manager, Information Protection, and eDiscovery.
• Develop Zero Trust security architectures using Microsoft security best practices.
• Provide expert guidance on multi-cloud security strategies, integrating Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud security controls.
• Service Delivery & MSSP Integration:
• Act as a technical SME for Microsoft Purview & Defender services in customer engagements, project delivery, and security assessments.
• Ensure seamless integration of Microsoft security solutions into Help AG’s MSSP-managed security services.
• Conduct workshops, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and customer enablement sessions on Microsoft’s security and compliance capabilities.
• Drive automation & integration of Microsoft security tools with MSSP security operations (e.g., Sentinel, Logic Apps, Defender automation).
• Work with Help AG’s Hyperscalers leadership to develop standardized security offerings, recurring services, and managed compliance solutions.
• Customer Engagement & Business Growth:
• Collaborate with sales, presales, and business development teams to drive opportunities in Microsoft Purview & Defender services.
• Support proposal development, RFP submissions, and service scoping for Microsoft security solutions.
• Act as a trusted security advisor to enterprise customers, ensuring Microsoft security solutions align with their regulatory, compliance, and business needs.
• Work closely with Microsoft and internal stakeholders to leverage co-sell programs, funding initiatives, and GTM (Go-To-Market) strategies.
• Continuous Innovation & Thought Leadership:
• Stay updated on Microsoft security advancements, compliance regulations, and threat intelligence to refine our security offerings.
• Drive automation, AI-powered threat analytics, and SOC integration within Microsoft security operations.
• Provide training and mentorship to internal teams on Microsoft Purview & Defender Suite capabilities.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• A Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related degree.
• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft security, compliance, and threat management solutions.
• Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Defender Suite (Defender for Endpoint, Cloud, Office 365, Identity, Sentinel, Logic Apps).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Purview (Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk, Compliance Manager, eDiscovery, Information Protection, Records Management).
• Experience in multi-cloud security (Azure, AWS, GCP), integrating Microsoft security controls with hybrid environments.
• Preferred Certifications:
• Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
• Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator (SC-400)
• Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst (SC-200)
• Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect (SC-100)
• Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
• Deep understanding of Zero Trust, cloud security, SIEM/SOAR, and regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, CIS, etc.).

• Strong customer-facing and technical consulting skills, with the ability to lead security assessments, architecture design, and solution deployments.
