Job Summary: Section Head, Automation Projects is responsible for planning developing, managing and maintain all the Project activities related to automation for AMTPJ and JESCO Jubail, follow up on progress and assist the Manager Mechanical & Electrical Projects/Project manager/Automation Engineer for timely execution of project contractor and work teams, develop, manage and maintain Project aspects such as Developing Automation SoW for all the Projects, Schedule, progress tracking, quality and cost for AMTPJ and JESCO Jubail.- Develop Potential risk and mitigation plan for Automation in all the Projects and prepare the Project Automation Requirements for Supply and services for procurement, assist Procurement team in Technical bid process, Purchase requisition, Material Inspection, payment and documentation follow-up.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Engineering, planning, Schedule, Monitor, control, closeout management and follow up of projects.
- Execution of Projects also assist Manager Mechanical & Electrical Projects/Project manager/Automation Engineer for Feasibility studies of New projects.
- Schedule regular meetings with End user department (e.g., engineering, procurement, Utility, Production, Quality assurance) to discuss project status, upcoming tasks, and any issues.
- Support the project team to maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems and supervise the contractor activities through the team.
- Automation activities Monitor and follow up in order to support the achievement of the planned schedule to minimize delays and costs.
- Develop a clear and logical folder structure for Automation Projects in storage system. This might include folders for project phases.
- Coordinate tasks and logistics as required of team members as directed by Manager Mechanical & Electrical Projects.
- Lead a Automation project team, including Automation engineer, technicians, and contractors. Delegate tasks and responsibilities.
- Assist Project Manager to Conduct final inspections and testing, Punch Points, documentation for project closeout, Project Handover.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical Engineering or any related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Capex Planning and Control Industrial or related projects experience.
- Automation Basic and Detail Engineering.
- Circuit Design and Analysis, Automation Codes and Standards.
- Project Engineering, Management and Site Execution, Contract Management and related drawings, document and data management, hands on knowledge is required.
- Project Management Methodologies standards and techniques.
- EPC/full service, Program/Project Management, Project delivery processes.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to translate concepts and ideas into practical procedures and activities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent computer, standard corporate software application skills are required
