Could you be the full-time Customer Director in Saudi Arabia we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your strategic leadership and business development expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our business development strategy, driving customer-centric initiatives, and ensuring sustainable growth in the Saudi Arabian market. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., Business Development, Product & Strategy, and Regional Management), foster relationships with key external stakeholders, and lead a team of Business Development Managers to achieve impactful results.

You’ll specifically take care of managing customer relationships and enhancing tender win rates, but also contribute to the overall SS&I (Signalling, Systems & Infrastructure) business strategy.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Defining and implementing a robust business development strategy aligned with regional goals
  • Promoting Alstom’s products and services to win new business
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with customers, partners, and governmental entities
  • Providing market intelligence and strategic insights to influence decision-making
  • Leading opportunity qualification and capture planning processes
  • Ensuring successful project execution and maintaining customer satisfaction

All About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in engineering or a related field (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
  • Experience in project-based environments and working closely with governmental entities
  • Knowledge of the railway or mobility industry (preferred but not required)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
  • Familiarity with Saudi Procurement Law
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, resilient, and goal-oriented approach

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
  • Contribute to innovative projects shaping the future of mobility
  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
  • Progress towards senior leadership roles within the organization

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

Important to note

As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
