Job Description

Main Purpose:

SAP SCM Lead will be responsible for the implementation and management of the SAP SCM domain (this includes all products within the SAP footprint, all interfaces to non-SAP applications and mobile solutions). He/She will have the full responsibility for managing the SCM team and related deliverables during the project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Delivery Leadership Team, manage and control the development and delivery of the SCM related functionalities
  • Provide applications strategy & direction on all SAP services within the SCM domain
  • Manage the relationship and align the activities with other functional and technical teams
  • Ensure that appropriate action is taken to investigate and resolve incidents and problems in SAP systems and services
  • Provides necessary support, input, guidance and recommendations on Technical Designs developed by other SAP domain teams
  • Ensure that procedures, quality assurance, templates and documentation according to the agreed standards
  • Maintain the integrity, manageability and architectural aspects of the SAP systems as per agreed standards
  • Lead and supervise SCM team members on day to day activities and monitor their performance
  • Acts as a technical lead in the design, development, testing and implementation of technology solution (significant amount of support may need to be performed outside of normal working hours)
  • Establishes a performance baseline for SCM related processes; Monitors system performance and fine tune for peak performance within the SCM domain
  • Reviews and provides input to common deliverables (e.g. user acceptance test plans)
  • Engage with authorization team to establish and implement the appropriate security model within the SCM domain
  • Drives issue resolution associated with the implementation and testing of SAP upgrades and service pack enhancements related to SCM
  • Participates and provides input on the hiring and selection process for the project team
  • Responsible for post implementation review and monitoring of the business applications within the SCM.
  • Participates in Change Request process to document and justify the need for changes.
  • Develop and maintain effective and productive relationships with Customer and other team members
  • Other activities as may require to fulfil the objectives of the role


Job Requirements

Education:

  • Graduate or Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems of equivalent from a reputed national / foreign educational institution.
  • Communication capabilities in Arabic and English languages.
  • SAP Certification


Relevant Experience:

  • 10+ years of work experience in SAP projects withing the SCM domain
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing SAP landscape in midsize or large organization.
  • Strong proven management skills to successfully perform the strategy planning, directing, reporting and administrative responsibilities of this position.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of system development lifecycle and its implications.
  • Good Knowledge of IT leading practices such as ITIL (Incident, Problem, Request processes).
  • Good understanding of multiple SAP functional areas from integration points perspective (FICO, HR, BI etc).
  • SAP Defence sector experience will be plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of different SAP security models and products (SSO, IDM) from SCM perspective
  • Experience of gathering and documenting system requirements and documenting system functional design for business applications solutions and related implementation issues from a functional perspective.
  • Good Knowledge and understanding of challenges for enterprise-wide system implementation.
  • Knowledge of standard support development frameworks and methodologies
  • Expert level understanding in SAP implementation methodologies (e.g. Activate)

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse team.
