SAP - MRO Lead

Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE:

SAP MRO Lead will be responsible for the implementation of the functionalities of respective SAP module (this includes all related products of related functional area within the SAP footprint, all interfaces to non-SAP applications and available mobile solutions). He/She will have the full responsibility of leading and managing the functional team to prepare and submit the project deliverables as per project plan maintaining the high quality and adherence to project timeline.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In collaboration with the Delivery Leadership Team, manage and control the development and delivery of the functional domain
• Provide applications strategy & direction on all SAP services within the functional domain
• Lead the solution design activities and provide technical solution in respective functional areas
• Manage the relationship and align the activities with customer, other functional and technical teams
• Provides necessary support, input, guidance and recommendations on Solution Design developed by other SAP domain teams
• Ensure that procedures, quality assurance, templates and documentation according to the agreed standards
• Maintain the integrity, manageability and architectural aspects of the SAP systems as per agreed standards
• Lead and supervise functional team members on day-to-day activities and monitor their performance
• Support other functional and technical leads in the design, development, testing and implementation of proposed solution (significant amount of support may need to be performed outside of normal working hours)
• Establishes a performance baseline for functional domain related processes; Monitors system performance and fine tune for peak performance during execution
• Reviews and provides input to common deliverables (e.g. user acceptance test plans)
• Engage with authorization team to establish and implement the appropriate security model within the functional domain
• Drives issue resolution associated with the implementation and testing of SAP upgrades and service pack enhancements related to functional domain
• Participates and provides input on the hiring and selection process for the project team
• Responsible for post implementation review and monitoring of the business applications within the functional domain.
• Participates in Change Request process to document and justify the need for changes.
• Develop and maintain effective and productive relationships with Customer and other team members
  
  
  

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:

Graduate or Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems of equivalent from a reputed national / foreign educational institution.

Communication capabilities in Arabic and English languages.

SAP Certification

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

• 15+ years of work experience with comprehensive understanding and knowledge of functional domain
• Minimum 5 years of experience of SAP implementation projects in Defense related organizations (preferably with Defense related ministries).
• Strong proven management skills to successfully perform the strategy planning, directing, reporting and administrative responsibilities of this position.
• Good knowledge and understanding of system development lifecycle and its implications.
• Good Knowledge of IT leading practices such as ITIL (Incident, Problem, Request processes).
• Good understanding of multiple SAP functional areas from integration points perspective (FICO, HR, BI etc).
• SAP Defence and security related projects experience
• Knowledge and understanding of different SAP security models and products (SSO, IDM) from integration perspective
• Experience of gathering and documenting system requirements and documenting system functional design for business applications solutions and related implementation issues from a functional perspective.
• Good Knowledge and understanding of challenges for enterprise-wide system implementation.
• Knowledge of standard support development frameworks and methodologies
• Expert level understanding in SAP implementation methodology (Activate)
