Role Overview

The Sales Team Leader is responsible for driving the performance of the sales team, ensuring

targets are met, and optimizing the sales process. This role requires a strong leader who can

motivate, coach, and strategize to maximize revenue growth and team success. The ideal

candidate is data-driven, results-oriented, and has excellent communication skills to lead a

high-performance sales team.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Performance

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, providing coaching and constructive

feedback.

  • Conduct daily/weekly team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and

strategize improvements.

  • Implement incentive programs to drive motivation and productivity.

Sales Strategy & Target Achievement

  • Develop and execute sales action plans to meet revenue goals.
  • Optimize lead management and conversion rates through structured sales processes.
  • Work with the Sales Manager to align strategies with company objectives.
  • Identify and explore new sales opportunities to maximize growth.

Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Ensure proper lead follow-up and pipeline management in the CRM (HubSpot,

Salesforce, or others).

  • Track and analyze key sales metrics (conversion rates, response time, deal value,

etc.).

  • Maintain an accurate sales forecast and provide regular performance reports.

Customer Relationship & Retention

  • Ensure a customer-first approach in all sales interactions.
  • Build strong relationships with key clients to drive repeat business.
  • Handle escalations and ensure a smooth handover to the Customer Success team.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure high-quality lead generation.
  • Align with Operations & Customer Experience to enhance service and product

delivery.

  • Provide insights and feedback to senior management for continuous improvement.

Key KPIs (Performance Metrics)

Team Sales Target Achievement: % of quota met/exceeded.

Lead-to-Conversion Rate: % of MQLs converted into closed deals.

Average Deal Size & Revenue per Rep: Measuring revenue growth per salesperson.

Sales Cycle Length: Reducing time from lead to deal closure.

Customer Retention & Upsells: % of repeat business generated by the sales team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3+ years of experience in sales, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Strong background in B2B/B2C sales with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding

targets.

Excellent leadership, coaching, and motivation skills to drive high performance.

Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).

Ability to analyze data and optimize sales strategies.
