As a Sales Manager, you will lead and inspire a team to achieve sales excellence while managing customers to deliver maximum value to the business.
This role offers the opportunity to drive strategic sales initiatives, oversee team performance, and foster long-term customer relationships in a dynamic and high-impact environment.
You will play a pivotal role in achieving ambitious sales targets, contributing to business growth, and optimizing the sales function through effective leadership and innovative strategies.
Key Accountabilities
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement annual business plans and strategies for the assigned shipping line.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business development to enhance the commercial value of the line’s services.
- Ensure the execution of sales processes and strategies, achieving designated monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Team Leadership:
- Motivate, develop, and manage the team to maximize their potential and deliver exceptional results.
- Provide technical and operational support to the team, handling complex sales and ensuring customer requirements are met.
Relationship Management:
- Build and manage long-term relationships with customers to foster trust, loyalty, and mutual growth.
- Lead business reviews with key customers to align on performance, address concerns, and identify growth opportunities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for complex customer accounts, delivering tailored solutions and driving value.
Operational Excellence:
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to improve the quality of sales activities.
- Ensure all activities and transactions within the team adhere to budgets and procedural guidelines.
- Oversee sales function improvement projects to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is fluent in Arabic and English.
- Holds a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or in any related field of sales activity,
- Has 6-8 years of experience in sales roles (previous shipping line experience is mandatory).
- Possesses expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring sales performance to achieve targets.
- Has experience managing key accounts, in different sectors including petrochemicals.
- Demonstrates exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and negotiation skills.
