DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for Road Freight Fleet TL in Saudi Arabia to Coordinate implementation of Fleet Management strategy and plans to manage and update fleet plan on a continual basis, requiring close coordination on demand side with Network Operations and regions and to improve efficiency and safety for organization ground fleet through activities like vehicle tracking, reporting on fuel consumption, monitoring of driver behavior and management of vehicle and aircraft maintenance in line with overall business strategy and objectives, and Group guidelines and policies

In this Road Freight Fleet TL position
JOB PURPOSE
Coordinate implementation of Fleet Management strategy and plans to manage and update fleet plan on a continual basis, requiring close coordination on demand side with Network Operations and regions and to improve efficiency and safety for organization ground fleet through activities like vehicle tracking, reporting on fuel consumption, monitoring of driver behavior and management of vehicle and aircraft maintenance in line with overall business strategy and objectives, and Group guidelines and policies
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Coordinate implementation of Fleet Management strategy and plans to manage and update fleet plans on a continual basis and to improve efficiency and safety for organization ground fleet
- Contribute to design and develop electronic databases of sales, registration, inspections and maintenance of fleet management
- Support implementation of fleet management plans to manage fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting and surveying current user trends
- Implement fleet plan to set direction and priorities for all fleet acquisitions
- Apply best practices to utilize all fleet information and user surveys to forecast new requirements
- Contribute to manage all organization owned company assets including acquiring and managing vehicles, scheduling vehicle assignments, purchasing fuel and load balancing
- Support implementation of fleet renewal process according to technical obsolescence and regulatory limitations to protect business continuity
- Monitor routine and ad hoc maintenance, support in obtaining tags for new vehicles and renew old ones to ensure schedule fleet management
- Ensure fleet operations in compliance with local and state rules and regulations
- Provide input to develop fuel purchase system with assistance of Fuel Cards for all vehicles and drivers
- Execute vehicle purchase and vehicle replacement through efficient settlement
- Provide input to develop and manage data management system to organize fleets as per various schedules and requests
- Maintain ongoing relationships with external transport providers (e.g., fuel suppliers, trucking / shipping companies, etc.)
STAKEHOLDERS
- Understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers and key stakeholders
- Build strong, trusting relationships with DHL managers
- Extensive contact with other specialist departments
- Cooperate with and coordinate 3rd parties e.g. external service providers
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
- Supervise professional level employees (typically entry or experienced level) and may also supervise some non professional employees

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
- More than 5 years within the same field
- Excellent communicator in English, both written and verbal.
