General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Identify risks associated with the projects.
- Manage the Risk Register.
- Properly articulate and address challenges and issues to Management in a timely manner.
- Develop a plan for mitigating identified risks.
- Provide reports on potential risks and their corresponding responses.
- Offer guidance on the Probability and Impact Matrix for each project.
- Lead meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to pinpoint, evaluate, and assess risk issues emerging from different phases in the project lifecycle.
- Formulate and execute a risk management plan for construction projects, delineating processes to minimize risks.
- Engage in tasks related to contract management, procurement, tendering, estimating, and cost analysis.
- Contribute to the management of costs, claims related to cost and time, change order procedures, and conflict resolution.
- Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Management from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 17+ years of experience in Engineering and/or Project Management and in a functional role as Risk Manager on mega projects.
- Proven experience and skills in identifying problems, evaluating alternatives and finding solutions.
- Reliability and initiative to succeed without direct supervision.
- Understanding the Israeli aspects of the context in the Kingdom.
- Proven experience and familiarity with commercial risk management practices and procedures, preferably in a similar cutting context.
- Previous experience in identifying risks (costs/schedule quality/safety).
- Previous experience maintaining risk management databases (e.g. Active Risk Management program
- Previous experience with ERM procedures.
- Work experience on a global scale (preferably previous work experience in Saudi Arabia).
