WSP are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Risk Lead to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring risk management excellence on an airport construction project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Your new role, what's involved?

As a Risk Manager at WSP, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with large-scale road, bridge, highway, tunnel, and other infrastructure projects. Your expertise will guide the development of strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the successful delivery of projects in compliance with international standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Risk Assessment & Management:
• Lead comprehensive risk assessments for road, bridge, highway, tunnel, and related infrastructure projects.
• Develop and implement risk management plans and strategies.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities, evaluating their impact on project objectives.
• Risk Mitigation Strategies:
• Formulate risk mitigation measures and contingency plans to address identified risks.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate risk management strategies into project plans and execution.
• Stakeholder Communication:
• Communicate risk findings and mitigation plans to project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare and present detailed risk reports and documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
• Compliance & Best Practices:
• Ensure that risk management practices comply with international standards and industry best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and regulatory changes in the infrastructure sector.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration:
• Lead and mentor junior risk management staff and provide guidance on best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated risk management across all project phases.
• Project Monitoring & Evaluation:
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Adjust risk management plans as necessary to address evolving project conditions and challenges.
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in risk management for road, bridge, highway, tunnel, and related infrastructure projects. Prior experience working with international construction consultants is essential.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Risk Management, or a related field. A relevant Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, RICS) is advantageous.
• Skills:
• Proven expertise in identifying and mitigating risks in large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in stakeholder management.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
• Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
