Job Description
Parsons is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Risk Lead to join our team to oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across our airfield and infrastructure project.
This role is key to ensuring the successful delivery of the project by proactively managing risks related to safety, budget, schedule, quality, and environmental factors. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in risk management, with a strong background in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the aviation or construction sector.

Job Description
Parsons is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Risk Lead to join our team to oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across our airfield and infrastructure project.
This role is key to ensuring the successful delivery of the project by proactively managing risks related to safety, budget, schedule, quality, and environmental factors. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in risk management, with a strong background in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the aviation or construction sector.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the development and implementation of the project’s Risk Management Plan, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and objectives.
- Define risk management processes, tools, and methodologies tailored to the complexity and scale of the airfield and infrastructure project.
- Conduct regular risk workshops and sessions with project stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive identification and analysis of potential risks.
- Proactively identify potential risks across all project phases (design, construction, commissioning, and handover), including safety, schedule, cost, quality, and environmental concerns.
- Work with project teams to assess the likelihood and impact of identified risks and prioritize them based on severity.
- Maintain a comprehensive risk register, documenting all identified risks, their status, and mitigation actions.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of potential risks on project delivery.
- Ensure risk controls and mitigation measures are integrated into project planning and execution activities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented risk controls and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that risk management activities are aligned with overall project goals.
- Lead the communication of risks to senior management and project stakeholders, providing regular updates on risk status, mitigation actions, and emerging threats.
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure all parties are aware of and adhere to risk management protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all risk-related activities, including risk assessments, mitigation plans, and incident reports.
- Generate and present regular risk reports to senior management, highlighting key risks, mitigation progress, and recommendations.
- Support audits and reviews of the project’s risk management processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Risk Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in risk management, with a strong focus on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience in managing risks within the aviation, construction, or transportation sectors is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., risk assessment software, FMEA, Monte Carlo simulation).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks before they impact the project.
- Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments, managing multiple risks and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Professional certification in risk management (e.g., PMP, RMP, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction or airport-specific risk management frameworks and standards.
- Experience with risk management software tools (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, Aconex) is beneficial.
- Knowledge of health, safety, environmental regulations, and compliance in the construction and aviation sectors.
- Fluency in Arabic is a plus.
