Purpose of Job

Job Responsibilites
Revenue Assurance Planning
- Develop and update dashboards, tools, frameworks, and requirements to ensure systematic detection of ZATCA’s revenues
- Review operations’ processes to develop/update oversight controls for all revenue generating streams in different functions to minimize revenue leakages
- Develop financial metrics and KPIs for ZATCA’s tax and customs’ revenues to assist the financial committee in the decision making process
- Collect related documents and data and handle documentation and archiving activities based on set standards
- Update revenue assurance related activities through digital channels
- Consolidate, sort and analyze revenue data related to Zakat, Tax and Customs operational streams (ZAKT, CIT , WHTX , VAT, ETAX, REET, COM, etc. ) to develop the periodical revenue report (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) and submit reports and figures for approval
- Compile and analyze refund operations data sets to examine trends and correlations and to submit recommendations to deductions’ budget allocations
- Identify and forecast projections for revenue offset charges and bad debt to serve as input for the annual budgeting process planning
- Perform ongoing RA reviews on operations, analyze results and trends, and develop assessments’ reports highlighting revenue performance results
- Monitor dashboards related to budgeting, P&L, etc. to perform related variance analysis and develop related status reports
- Develop assessment models and simulations following ministerial, managerial, etc. to measure financial impact on ZATCA’s revenues
- Develop revenue assessments’ models and simulations as compared to outstanding debt, un-submitted declarations, clearing and settlements, etc. to measure financial impact and recommend improvements
- Meet with business units to develop and validate revenue reports and dashboards and provide guidance and support on revenue models and data analysis
- Report back any technical/ operational issues that arise and might affect revenues to ensure high-quality standards of operations
- Develop reports highlighting shortcomings in controls to estimate the revenue leakage and suggest corrective measures
- Develop reports highlighting the profitability of the differing streams of operational units; analyze margins and metrics across divisions and submit recommendations to drive improved performance
- Develop periodical reports on revenue performance and submit it to Operations Vice Governor for review and recommendations
- Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
- Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
- Perform other duties as requested
- Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable
