Resident Engineer - Structural

Hill International is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Resident Engineer - Structural to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

As a Resident Engineer - Structural, you will be responsible for overseeing all structural engineering activities on a major construction project in Dammam. You will work closely with the project manager and other team members to ensure that all structural design and construction activities are carried out according to project specifications, budget, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all structural engineering activities on the project, including design, construction, and quality control.
• Review and approve structural design documents, including drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Ensure that all structural design work is in compliance with local codes and regulations.
• Monitor construction progress and provide technical support to the construction team.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure that the structural work is being carried out according to design and quality standards.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders to resolve any design or construction issues.
• Review and approve contractor submittals and change orders related to structural work.
• Prepare progress reports and attend project meetings as required.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 5 years in a similar role.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of local structural design codes and standards.
• Experience with concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to relocate to Dammam, Saudi Arabia for the duration of the contract.
