We are seeking a Resident Engineer to oversee and manage the technical aspects of a construction supervision project. This role is hands-on, requiring the Resident Engineer to be deeply involved in the daily technical operations of the project.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Oversee all technical aspects of the construction activities, ensuring they meet the project's specifications, contract terms, and international standards.
• The RE role would include coordinating and managing the overalls teams deliverables which would include slope monitoring and mapping, geohazard identification and mitigation, shotcrete and stabilisation oversight, cavity detection and remediation, documentation and reporting.
• Act as the main point of contact on-site, actively managing day-to-day operations, including the coordination of Road Header machine operations and other tunneling machinery.
• Collaborate closely with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure work is completed on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor the quality of work, ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications, and enforce corrective actions when required.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment at all times.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports, site inspections, and technical evaluations. Maintain accurate project records, including as-built drawings and documentation.
• Proactively identify technical challenges and provide hands-on solutions to ensure the project continues smoothly and efficiently.
• Ensure full compliance with the contract terms, handling variations, claims, and any contractual issues that may arise during construction.
• Manage the performance, maintenance, and efficient use of key equipment.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all site activities comply with relevant safety standards, project specifications, and regulations.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or a related field. Professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered Engineer) is preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction supervision.
• Proven experience in rock mechanics theory.
• Proven experience rockfall and rock slope stability projects and supervision.
• Ability to manage a small team and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Strong analytical skills with a hands-on approach to resolving on-site issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to produce clear and concise reports.
