Job Purpose
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The Remote Sensing Specialist is responsible for the collection, processing and analysis of remote sensing data to support geospatial data and intelligence products. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all data collected and analysed is of high quality and accuracy, meets the applicable geospatial data standards and policies. The Individual should be able to work well unsupervised and will be able to plan and organise the team’s activities.

Job Accountabilities
- Collects and processes remote sensing data to support geospatial data and intelligence products.
- Conducts image analysis to extract geospatial features and information.
- Ensures that all data collected and analysed meets the applicable geospatial data standards and policies.
- Collaborates with other geospatial specialists to integrate remote sensing data into geospatial products.
- Applies analytical and creative skills to develop optimal remote sensing products.
- Monitors remote sensing data processing and analysis to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of remote sensing platforms and tools.
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, or a related field.
- Certificate in Remote Sensing.
- Skills in ERDAS Imagine, SOCET GXP, ENVI, ArcGlS, QGIS.
- Extensive experience in remote sensing roles.
- Strong knowledge of remote sensing principles and technologies.
- Familiarity with geospatial data standards and policies.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and customers.
