JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.
This role is responsible for applying knowledge, experience and skills to develop and manage aircraft Reliability Programmes (RP) for Tornado.
Responsible for the analysis of maintenance and operational data, to identify trends in aircraft system and component faults, perform RP-related investigations and proposed recommendations to enhance reliability and/or amend the Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP).
Responsible for the validation of AMP, through RP output, to ensure the Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) is neither performing too much, nor too little, maintenance on aircraft.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Establish, maintain and continuously improve RP on Tornado.
- Manage the Tornado RP and any resultant recommendations for change to AMP, ensuring they are effectively integrated.
- Ensure RP activities and procedures comply with the Tornado Support Service Exposition and Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness (M&CA) RP requirements.
- Identify, collate, analyse and record all relevant sources of maintenance data, including Post-Output Review Meetings (PORM).
- Review draft Technical Instructions (TCTO, SB, etc.) in order to assess the impact on the fleet and recommend effective embodiment strategy for endorsement.
- Produce at least quarterly, Reliability reports and recommendations in order determine recovery actions, or initiate further investigation.
- Maintain close working relations with the Fleet Planning Manager, to maintain an awareness of all AMP changes.
- Though of secondary importance to validating AMP, utilise the RP to monitor – and make recommendations to enhance business performance with regards to aircraft operations.

- Pre-Input Review Meetings
- Post-Output Review Meetings
- Maintenance Steering Groups (MSG)
- AMP Reviews
- Material Deficiency Report (MDR) meetings
- Responsible for supporting annual TSSE reviews and the review/up-issue of the RP.
- Manage the reliability elements of the Master Data and Assumptions List (MDAL) and provide recommendations to support Bid activities
- Proactively support … Quality and Safety Managers, in particular through support to audits and the timely resolution of Reliability-related audit findings.
- Establish and maintain a network of reliability experts and stakeholders, across other BAES SA projects, BAES Fast Jet Support Hub and the Function, to identify good practise for Reliability Programme continuous improvement.
- Mentor, supervise and provide local training to personnel as necessary, including Technical Services personnel located on air bases, to support their development and Saudisation of the CAMO.
- Deputise in periods of absence for the Fleet Operations Manager, as required.
- For absences greater than 2-weeks, ensure a competent deputy is nominated and senior manager informed.

Essential
- Current Tornado experience.
- Extensive proven aircraft maintenance experience and have extensive proven experience in a relevant (PtM-related) role.
- HND in a role-related discipline or successful completion of a recognised national aircraft maintenance traineeship / apprenticeship.
- Should be able to work on their own initiative to resolve technical issues.
- An understanding of company Part M policies, processes and procedures.
- Broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.
Essential
- Able to describe or demonstrate a Familiar level of knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness, the aircraft types managed and the aircraft maintenance environment.
- Be able to demonstrate a Practitioner level of skills in fleet planning, Reliability Programme and Aircraft Maintenance Programme management.
- Demonstrate an Awareness of the management of Technical Instructions, aircraft modifications and the management of Part M records.
- Formal Reliability Programme training.
- Data analysis qualification.
