Radiation Safety Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION- RSO SL NOJob description / Skill Requirement:1Overall responsibility in reporting to NRRC about the availability/activity/condition of the radiation sources, source projectors and radiation dose of workers by coordinating with the various work sites.2Overall responsibility in the movement of sources within the Kingdom and fulfilling the local regulations for the same through Police, Customs, etc.3Preparation and review of radiation safety procedures, emergency procedures etc., pertaining to the requirement of NRRC, Aramco etc.,4Overall responsibility in obtaining the approval from NRRC, ARAMCO, SABIC, SWCC, SEC and other clients in KSA.5Identify the legal and other requirements and compliance to the same in radiation safety and apply permits for source imports, use, handling, transportation use, and export as per NRRC requirements.6Overall responsibility in personnel qualification, monitoring all radiographic personnel dose, keep records of personnel dose and sealed source information, issue and collect personnel dosimeter, monitor radioactive materials and x ray generating equipment movement, safety audits and calibration of radiation monitors, EPD. Issue, allocate monitor the TLD controls with the service provider.7To attend the situation by immediate direct presence whenever potential radiation hazard is reported and to assure the control as soon as possible ensuring that necessary precaution is implemented.8Responsible for tracking & renewing the licenses for Vehicles used for transporting radioactive sources, Storage Pits and Radiography Sources.QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS1Certified as RSO as per NRRC requirement2Good communication skill3Minimum 3 years work experience 4Source Retrival Certificate
