- Prepare and analyze cost estimates for the project.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure they align with the budget.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify any cost variations.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented.
- Review and approve payment applications and invoices.
- Provide regular project cost reports to stakeholders.
- Extensive lead quantity surveying experience working across major construction projects.
- Extensive experience working within engineering or project based quantity surveying/estimating environments.
- Ability to successfully manage and supervise a team of Quantity surveyors.
- Should have experience/knowledge of QS related software.
- Strong QS functional skills combined with solid all round project management including a working knowledge of the tender process, contract administration, client / stakeholder management and project delivery.
- Must have a strong commercial acumen and commercial awareness
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Manages to timeframes, cost conscious, and achievement drive
