The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and aviation authority requirements in large-scale airport or airfield projects.

What You'll Be Doing;

  • Inspect construction works, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and international airfield standards (ICAO / FAA).
  • Document non-conformances, coordinate corrective actions, and monitor follow-up closure of quality issues.
  • Review contractor submittals, method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and material certifications for compliance with project requirements.
  • Support senior engineers in evaluating design and construction deviations, proposing corrective actions, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards.
  • Assist in constructability assessments and quality-related technical reviews.
  • Provide on-site quality support during construction activities, including verification of work execution against specifications.
  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure integrated compliance across multidisciplinary airfield infrastructure works.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and verification activities to confirm quality and functionality of constructed works.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout construction.
  • Participate in site inspections, progress meetings, and quality reviews.
  • Ensure clear communication of quality issues and resolutions to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality-related works comply with HSE requirements for airside construction activities.
  • Identify risks associated with construction quality deviations and support mitigation measures in alignment with airport safety management systems (SMS).
  • Maintain accurate quality records, inspection logs, and test results.
  • Prepare daily and weekly quality reports, documenting inspection findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with project quality documentation standards and reporting protocols.
  • Ensure all airfield infrastructure works meet ICAO Annex 14, FAA, and local airport authority standards.
  • Support audits and inspections by regulatory authorities and project QA/QC teams.
  • Verify contractor adherence to approved designs, specifications, and QA/QC procedures.
  • Assist senior quality engineers in mentoring junior staff and ensuring consistent application of QA/QC processes.
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness and compliance among site teams.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering or inspection on airport, airfield, or large civil infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with airfield pavements, aprons, taxiways, runways, and associated utilities/drainage is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, testing, and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil/airfield drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC documentation, reporting, and site inspection practices.
  • Good coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in operational or restricted airside environments.
  • What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
  • Certification in QA/QC, quality management, or civil inspection (e.g., ISO 9001, NEBOSH for construction safety awareness).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM, or digital quality management tools.
  • Exposure to international airport standards (ICAO, FAA).
