The opportunity

You, as a Quality Engineer, will be part of Hitachi Energy’s business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will contribute to building and delivering world-class quality standards and driving continuous improvement across operations.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Arranging and performing shop floor activities related to product quality checks, incoming material inspection, production, and testing processes.
  • Taking ownership of process development, procedures, templates, and work instructions related to incoming and supplier quality.
  • Collaborating with all departments to detect deviations, follow up on non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective measures, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Participating in internal and external audits (ISO, Hitachi Energy, customer audits) and working with departments to close findings and implement improvements.
  • Supporting organizational changes and lean initiatives, contributing to decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Implementing and monitoring quality strategies for complaints and processes using predefined KPIs, and preparing reports and templates as needed.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment by applying HSE requirements, monitoring supplier quality performance, analyzing material management data, and following up on corrective actions related to NCRs and CCRPs.
  • Performing additional tasks assigned by management to fulfill job requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
  • 2–3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably with GIS product knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience in material inspection, QMS, and internal quality auditing.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
