Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quality Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to focus on ensuring the overall quality of projects through planning, auditing, training, and continuous improvement .

What You'll be Doing;

• Develops and implements quality assurance and quality control plans to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Conducts regular quality audits and inspections of materials, processes, and work outputs to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry best practices.
• Identifies areas for quality improvement, recommending corrective and preventive actions to resolve any quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Works closely with project teams to ensure quality control processes are followed throughout the project lifecycle, from design through construction and final handover.
• Reviews and approves quality documentation, including test plans, inspection reports, and quality checklists.
• Trains and mentors junior quality staff and other project team members on quality standards, processes, and procedures.
• Acts as the main point of contact for all quality-related issues, liaising with project teams, contractors, and clients to resolve quality concerns.
• Tracks and reports quality performance metrics, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Supports the preparation and review of quality-related project documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project objectives.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies concerning quality assurance and control.
• Performs other duties as necessary to support the successful implementation of quality management practices on projects.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
• Typically 5+ years of experience in quality management, quality control, or related roles in large-scale projects
• Relevant certifications in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) preferred
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, quality assurance, and quality control processes
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to assess compliance with industry standards
• Ability to work independently and lead quality efforts across various teams
• Proficiency with quality management software and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP, etc.)
