WSP is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance and Control Engineer to join our team for a prestigious project in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout all phases of the project.

WSP is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance and Control Engineer to join our team for a prestigious project in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout all phases of the project.
Your new role, what's involved?
- Develop and oversee the implementation of QA/QC policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, client requirements, and regulatory codes.
- Manage the QA/QC team, including Senior QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors, providing guidance, support, and resource allocation to ensure effective quality management across projects.
- Lead the preparation and review of project-specific quality plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and other critical documentation, ensuring compliance with project objectives and quality benchmarks.
- Supervise quality assurance and control activities across multiple projects, ensuring consistency and adherence to established standards.
- Monitor and analyze QA/QC performance through regular reviews of inspection reports, audits, and quality metrics, identifying trends and implementing process improvements.
- Address major quality issues and non-conformances, coordinating corrective actions and ensuring root cause analysis is conducted for continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary QA/QC representative to clients and senior stakeholders, ensuring their quality requirements are understood, implemented, and reported on effectively.
- Coordinate and conduct quality audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, and report findings to senior leadership.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration between the QA/QC team, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Drive the implementation of lessons learned across projects, incorporating findings into updated quality policies and procedures for future improvements.
- Oversee training and professional development for the QA/QC team, ensuring staff remain up to date with best practices, codes, and emerging quality standards.
- Prepare and present consolidated quality reports to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights into QA/QC performance across the portfolio.
- Support dispute resolution and claims processes, providing QA/QC expertise on technical issues related to quality non-conformance or performance deviations.
- Promote a culture of quality awareness and excellence, ensuring QA/QC objectives are embedded across the organisation.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of QA/QC experience within construction or project management.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Experience in developing and implementing QA/QC policies, procedures, and plans.
- Proficient in QA/QC tools and Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
