Job Title: QA/QC Manager, PDS
Location: Al Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to join our PDS team in Al Khobar, KSA. As the QA/QC Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Your role will involve developing and implementing robust quality assurance and quality control processes and procedures. You will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to identify and resolve quality-related issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement project-specific quality assurance and quality control plans aligned with industry standards and project requirements.
Establish and maintain quality management systems to ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, regulations, and best practices.
Conduct regular risk assessments and quality audits to identify and address potential quality issues.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to define quality objectives, performance criteria, and key quality indicators.
Oversee quality control processes, including inspections, testing, and monitoring of construction activities, materials, and equipment.
Lead the resolution of non-conformance issues and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
Provide guidance and training to project teams on quality management principles, procedures, and best practices.
Monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure their compliance with quality requirements and contractual obligations.
Track and analyze quality metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous quality enhancement initiatives.
Coordinate with third-party testing laboratories and certification bodies as required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in QA/QC management, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing quality management systems on large-scale construction projects, with at least 3-5 years specifically in shopping mall developments.
Thorough knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, systems, and testing methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues effectively.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and drive a culture of quality excellence.
Certifications related to quality management, such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), are advantageous.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proficiency in English; fluency in Arabic is preferred.
