Headquartered in Singapore, SJ is a diverse collective of experts delivering sustainable and high-impact solutions across the built environment The Role As part of our Architecture team, the QA/QC Architect will play a key role in ensuring design and documentation quality across multiple building projects. This role involves reviewing architectural deliverables to ensure alignment with design intent, technical standards, and client requirements, while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and design excellence. The QA/QC Architect will work closely with design teams, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to uphold Surbana Jurong’s commitment to quality and compliance Key Responsibilities

• Review and audit architectural drawings, specifications, and deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and company standards
• Establish and maintain QA/QC procedures, checklists, and review processes to enhance design and documentation quality
• Coordinate with project architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve design discrepancies and ensure consistency across disciplines
• Conduct periodic quality reviews at various project stages (concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction documentation)
• Support teams in implementing corrective actions and lessons learned from previous quality audits
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Architecture discipline to streamline workflows and enhance technical accuracy
• Ensure all deliverables adhere to client specifications, regulatory requirements, and Surbana Jurong’s internal QA/QC framework

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university
• 8–12 years of experience in architectural design, quality control, or design management within a consultancy or multidisciplinary environment
• Strong understanding of design processes, documentation standards, and quality management systems
• Proven experience reviewing and coordinating architectural and multidisciplinary design packages for large-scale projects
• Familiarity with regional and international building codes, standards, and best practices
• Experience in PMC or design review roles within major building or infrastructure projects is an advantage

Key Knowledge and Skills

• Proficiency in design and review tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM-based coordination platforms
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify technical inconsistencies and design issues
• Strong understanding of QA/QC principles, documentation workflows, and version control systems
• Effective communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior architects on quality processes
