Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer (Tamheer Program) to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner, ensuring quality and compliance with company standards. You will also maintain strong relationships with suppliers and collaborate with internal departments to meet procurement needs. This role is offered under the Tamheer Program, designed to provide on-the-job training opportunities for recent graduates to gain practical experience and develop their professional skills.
Key Responsibilities

You will also maintain strong relationships with suppliers and collaborate with internal departments to meet procurement needs. Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality or delays.
- Coordinate with internal departments to identify purchasing needs.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with approved budgets and guidelines.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about trends and alternative suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with vendors.
- Follow up on order status to ensure timely delivery.
- Build and maintain strong vendor and stakeholder relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineer, Business Administration or related field.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage pressure and deadlines.
