Job Overview:

Tamra Capital is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Intern to support its cybersecurity function. This role offers hands-on experience tackling real-world security challenges in a regulated fintech environment. The internship covers key areas like security governance, DevSecOps, access control, auditing, and regulatory compliance (SAMA CSF, NCA ECC, ISO 27001). It’s ideal for candidates wanting practical experience in a fast-paced, cloud-first organization and a strong foundation in cybersecurity operations and risk management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying and documenting cybersecurity risks across departments and systems
  • Help monitor and analyze access control issues, endpoint visibility, and cloud security configurations
  • Support the development and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and internal/external audit evidence
  • Collaborate with IT and Technology teams to support onboarding/offboarding, IAM reviews, and license tracking
  • Participate in DevSecOps activities such as GitHub access audits, code control improvements, and staging security reviews
  • Conduct research on emerging threats, open-source tools, and compliance requirements
  • Plan and contribute to cybersecurity awareness campaigns (e.g., phishing simulations, MFA training)
  • Help maintain asset and SaaS inventories, access logs, and policy acknowledgment records
  • Support audit preparation through evidence collection, log sampling, and control mapping


Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT security, or a related field
  • Certifications such as (ISC)² CC, CompTIA Security+, Google Cybersecurity Certificate, ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation are a plus
  • Basic understanding of core cybersecurity concepts (CIA triad, IAM, MFA, logging, DevOps, SIEM)
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Cloud, GitHub, Bitdefender, SIEM, and Microsoft 365 Security is a plus
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute under regulatory pressure
  • Interest or experience in audits, risk assessments, or policy enforcement is highly valued
