Project Director

We are seeking an exceptional Project Director to lead the delivery of an iconic project in Riyadh. This is a senior leadership role within our Project Management Services business unit, responsible for providing strategic direction, governance, and oversight across all aspects of project delivery.
The Project Director will act as the Client’s trusted advisor, ensuring the successful delivery of a complex, large-scale, multi-disciplinary project from early design through construction and handover. The role requires extensive experience managing high-value, technically challenging developments and leading diverse teams across multiple stakeholders.
Strategic Leadership & Governance
Provide overall leadership, direction, and governance for the project, ensuring alignment with Client objectives, programme, budget, and quality requirements.
Establish and implement project governance structures, reporting frameworks, and decision-making protocols.
Act as the primary point of accountability for project performance, risk management, and delivery outcomes.
Project Management & Delivery
Lead the end-to-end delivery of the project across all phases, including design management, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Oversee and coordinate multi-disciplinary consultants, contractors, and specialist advisors to ensure fully integrated project delivery.
Ensure design development is fully coordinated across all disciplines, managing interfaces and resolving conflicts proactively.
Commercial, Programme & Risk Management
Maintain oversight of project budgets, cost plans, cash flow, and change control processes.
Ensure robust programme management, including schedule development, monitoring, and recovery planning where required.
Lead project-wide risk management processes, identifying, mitigating, and managing strategic and delivery risks.
Stakeholder & Client Management
Act as the senior interface with the Client, government authorities, key stakeholders, and third parties.
Provide clear, concise, and timely reporting to senior Client representatives and steering committees.
Lead negotiations, high-level decision-making, and issue resolution to maintain project momentum.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure project delivery in accordance with relevant regulations, codes, standards, and authority requirements in Saudi Arabia.
Champion quality assurance, safety, and sustainability objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and inspire the project management team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
Support resource planning, team performance management, and succession planning for long-term project success.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum 20 years of professional experience delivering complex, large-scale developments.
Proven experience in a Project Director (or equivalent senior leadership) role within a Project Management Consultancy environment.
Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering fully coordinated, multi-disciplinary projects of significant scale and complexity.
Extensive experience leading iconic, landmark, or high-value building projects.
Strong commercial acumen, programme management expertise, and risk management capability.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East on major developments is highly desirable.
