We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Project Director to lead the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) phase of a major metro rail project. The ideal candidate will bring over two decades of senior leadership experience in delivering large-scale, complex, and service-led rail transport projects. This role demands strategic oversight, operational excellence, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high standards of stakeholder engagement and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall delivery of the metro O&M project, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, safety standards, and performance targets.
• Oversee daily project activities, including technical operations, support services, and contractor performance.
• Supervise and evaluate O&M Contractors’ corporate management plans, ensuring robust communication and reporting mechanisms are in place.
• Act as the primary liaison with the Employer/Government, presenting complex operational matters with clarity and authority.
• Mobilize and manage large, diverse teams across technical, operational, and administrative functions.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones, risk mitigation strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and foster collaborative relationships with government bodies, contractors, and internal teams.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory frameworks, safety protocols, and quality standards throughout the contract period.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Transport Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 20 years of senior management experience in railway or metro infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on operations and service delivery.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale transport projects through mobilization, execution, and operational phases.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management, team leadership, and strategic planning.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage at the highest levels of government and corporate leadership.
• Experience in managing complex stakeholder environments and multi-disciplinary teams.
  
  

Preferred Attributes

• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Prior experience in metro O&M projects in urban environments.
• Familiarity with international best practices in rail operations and maintenance.
