Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Program Quality Lead to join our team! In this role you will get to oversee the quality assurance processes in airport-related programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement across all phases of the program lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing
- Program Quality Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management plans for airport-related programs, ensuring that airport systems, infrastructure, and services meet all regulatory and quality standards.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and manage cross-functional teams involved in airport programs, including construction, engineering, and operations teams, ensuring alignment with quality objectives. Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Quality Assurance & Control: Monitor and ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the design, construction, and operational phases of airport programs. Implement quality control systems to ensure deliverables meet safety, operational, and client expectations.
- Compliance and Regulatory Standards: Ensure all airport-related projects comply with local, national, and international aviation regulations (e.g., FAA, ICAO, TSA), as well as industry best practices and standards.
- Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate quality risks associated with airport infrastructure, systems, and services, ensuring that operational impacts are minimized.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the program teams, identifying inefficiencies and implementing corrective actions to enhance quality and reduce operational costs.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters, working with airport authorities, senior management, contractors, and clients to address quality concerns and provide status updates on program quality metrics.
- Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections of airport-related projects to assess compliance with quality standards and identify any areas for improvement. Ensure audits are conducted in line with airport safety and regulatory requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Define and track quality metrics specific to airport operations and projects, including construction quality, terminal operations, and safety performance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Airport Management, Quality Management, or related field. A Master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Experience: At least 8 years of experience in program management, quality assurance, or a related field within the airport or aviation industry, with a focus on large-scale airport projects, infrastructure, or operational systems.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of quality management frameworks and methodologies, including Six Sigma, Lean, ISO, and relevant aviation regulations.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams across complex airport-related programs.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities in the airport industry.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify quality-related issues and implement corrective actions in complex airport environments.
- Tools & Technologies: Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS), project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.), and safety compliance tools specific to airport operations.
- Certifications: Six Sigma, Lean, or other quality certifications. Certified Airport Planner (CAP) or other aviation-related certifications preferred.
- Experience with Airport Infrastructure: Specific experience working on large-scale airport projects, including terminal construction, runway expansion, baggage handling systems, or IT systems.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) used in airport programs.
- Experience with government regulations and oversight in the aviation industry, including FAA or TSA requirements.
