The Job In a Nutshell

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to participate in the creation of new products and features, from the idea stage to launch. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in end-to-end project management. Your main responsibilities include driving the development and delivery of financing solutions tailored to Hala’s existing and future SME customers. This role involves leading a cross-functional product management team, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the product aligns with business goals and customer needs.

What You Will Do

Strategic Leadership

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the currently live POS financing solution, and other financing solutions being developed.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, ensuring alignment with the product strategy, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  
  

Customer Focus

• Understand the challenges of micro SMEs, and build a scalable and user-friendly financing product that is tailored to their needs
• Continuously adapt product development initiatives with financing portfolio performance and customer feedback, driving healthy customer growth.
  
  

Data-Driven Decision Making

• Leverage existing data across Hala’s products to fine tune and refine the credit assessment model and loan eligibility criteria, supported by the Risk team.
• Use analytics to track product performance, customer behavior, and loan repayment trends.
  
  

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with engineering, design, and data teams to prioritize features, ensure timely delivery, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop go-to-market strategies and ensure product adoption.
• Act as the primary liaison between the leadership team and the product team, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  
  

Experience & Qualifications

Proven experience in product management, preferably in fintech or lending solutions

Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring product teams

Deep understanding of micro SMEs, especially in emerging markets

Expertise in building data-driven products, especially those leveraging transaction data

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Knowledge of POS systems, lending processes, and risk assessment frameworks is a plus

A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Lending related products.
