Product Development Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:

Product Development Manager heads the creation and renovation of products development for the organization by developing plans based on business objectives, available technologies and insights, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams to serve the organization’s customers and consumers. Key skills include technical product knowledge, project management, leadership, communication, and being consumer/customer focused. Relevant experience is essential with a degree in a relevant field, along with culinary creativity, efficiency skills and attention to detail

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES (According to Importance of Responsibility

• Lead the creation and development of new seafood products based on market trends and consumer preferences.
• Innovative thinking and culinary creativity.
• Development of new products developing.
• Manage the entire product development process, from idea to commercialization.
• Create and maintain project timelines to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion.
• Coordinate with teams in marketing, sales, operations, and quality assurance.
• Oversee sensory evaluations and consumer testing to validate product concepts.
• Ensure all new products meet food safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with quality assurance.
• Manage documentation for all stages of product development.
• Work with procurement to source ingredients and packaging materials.
• Communicate project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage budgets for product development projects.
• Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.

MANDATORY (Minimum Qualification) OR PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

• Bachelor’s degree in food science and nutrition, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product development, project management, or a similar role.
• Strong leadership, team management, and project management skills are essential. Proficiency with project management tools supports streamlined product development.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills enable effective collaboration, while analytical abilities ensure innovative solutions.
• Proven experience in product development, project management roles, with a focus on strategy and execution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey messages clearly and persuasively.
