By aligning and simplifying our work, our Integrated Diagnostic Solutions (IDS) business unit aims to drive growth and innovation around everything from integrated specimen management to diagnostic solutions.
About The Role
As a Product and Application Specialist you will be responsible for providing knowledge-based clinical support to KSA’s Specimen Management (SM) multidisciplinary team, as also to the healthcare community. The key area of relevance is Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics, with a focus on Pre-analytical considerations. The role will report to the Product Manager of BD Specimen Management, Saudi & LENA.

About The Role
As a Product and Application Specialist you will be responsible for providing knowledge-based clinical support to KSA’s Specimen Management (SM) multidisciplinary team, as also to the healthcare community. The key area of relevance is Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics, with a focus on Pre-analytical considerations. The role will report to the Product Manager of BD Specimen Management, Saudi & LENA.
Main Responsibilities Will Include
- Provide support through our solution’s education and training for potential customers, end users of our products and the wider healthcare community to promote clinical practice excellence in the preanalytical space.
- Preanalytical audits, troubleshooting to solve issues at customer sites, identifying customized clinical solutions and new product evaluation.
- Provide a clinical support to achieve successful BD solution introduction, conversion and upgrade to newer products.
- Help our customers for the accreditation support by providing BD Whitepapers, other documents as required, and training, as also through improvement of local policies and procedures.
- Developing, planning and supporting Evidence Generation projects locally with support of medical affairs.
- Promoting awareness of the importance of Clinical Laboratory Diagnosis in terms of accuracy, timeliness and cost-effectiveness.
- Supporting and delivering the Business strategy and driving the Clinical and Marketing strategy for Specimen Management in Saudi Arabia through active participation in the development and implementation of country-specific tactical plans.
- Bachelor or a degree level in Medical Laboratory Science or Nursing, or a diploma in phlebotomy.
- Having an experience working as a medical laboratory technologist, skilled in lab testing, QC and blood collection techniques.
- Understanding of lab equipment and procedures.
- Ability with a good command on Microsoft apps including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and attention to detail.
