The Position
The Opportunity
The Procurement Specialist in Roche Pharma is responsible for end-to-end sourcing activities. This role ensures effective and efficient delivery of core procurement services, including sourcing strategy execution, vendor selection and negotiation, contract drafting and execution, stakeholder collaboration, category strategy contribution, and supplier relationship management. The Sourcing Enabler plays a critical role in translating business needs into actionable sourcing and spend management activities while driving continuous improvement.

The Position
The Opportunity
The Procurement Specialist in Roche Pharma is responsible for end-to-end sourcing activities. This role ensures effective and efficient delivery of core procurement services, including sourcing strategy execution, vendor selection and negotiation, contract drafting and execution, stakeholder collaboration, category strategy contribution, and supplier relationship management. The Sourcing Enabler plays a critical role in translating business needs into actionable sourcing and spend management activities while driving continuous improvement.
Your Responsibilities
Sourcing Execution
- Execute sourcing requests within the assigned country or region, ensuring efficiency and high-quality customer service
- Understand and analyze end-user requirements
- Leverage sourcing knowledge to identify the best methods for driving value
- Apply the sourcing process (e.g., RfIs, RfQs, RfPs) and utilize eSourcing tools when applicable
- Maintain the preferred vendor database and ensure robust supplier relationship management
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build strong information flows with Business Partners
- Support the development and implementation of new procurement processes, policies, and technologies
- Work closely with the requisition-to-pay (R2P) team to ensure smooth procurement operations
- Maintain a comprehensive documentation system for references and audits
- Regularly submit operational buying data to aid in strategy development
- Monitor procurement targets and KPIs to ensure customer service goals are met
- Track metrics and address raised issues in collaboration with Business Partners
- Support initiatives related to supplier due diligence, diversity, anti-bribery, animal welfare, and other ethical standards
- University degree, preferably in a business-related field
- Business-level fluency in English and the primary business language of the site(s)
- Arabic is an added advantage
- 5+ years of procurement experience, including basic legal contracting knowledge
- Postgraduate business-related qualifications
- Documented experience in international strategic sourcing or cost reduction initiatives
- Experience in the Healthcare/Diagnostics sector can be an advantage
- Professional certifications in purchasing or finance an advantage (e.g., CIPS, ISM)
- SAP, Google Suite, Tableau,Trello, Lucid, Microsoft Suite systems knowledge
- Minimal travel (up to 5%) as required by business needs
