Aramco, one of the world's leading integrated energy and chemicals companies, and international contract logistics provider DHL Supply Chain have announced the signing of a shareholders' agreement for a to establish a New Company for Procurement and Logistics Hub in Saudi Arabia, to enhance supply chain efficiency and sustainability. It would be the region's first such hub catering to customers in the industrial, energy, chemical and petrochemical sectors. The joint venture aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its own Affiliates. And in the long term would be all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia and the ultimate goal is to reach the MENA region in future
Currently, we are seeking a dynamic person to take on the role of Procurement Policies and Procedures Specialist, to be hired for this JV based in Al Khobar
Objective:

• Creates and aligns Procurement Policies and Procedures and provide diverse and efficient support to Procurement departments. This includes all the procurement related policies, procedures and approvals pertained to Goods & Services.
• Drives policy and process innovation and standardization in the Procurement function to maximize the department’s efficiency and effectiveness whilst adhering to internal policies and guidelines as well as local legislation.

General Responsibilities:

• Drive continuous improvement / business process optimization (BPO) initiatives as well as manage key projects across procurement organization.
• Build, maintain, renew policies and standards.
• Write, review, and align policy documents, process flows and standard operating procedures.
• Provide inputs in designing, delivering, and advise on procurement processes, standards, policies, tools, and best practices.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Purchasing and Logistics Management or equivalent. Professional certification is preferred.
• 2-5 years’ experience in a procurement, materials management, procurement, forecasting or planning, preferably emphasizing on process and policy management.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of Arabic highly desirable.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of MS Supply Chain Management Manuals, General Instructions, other applicable policies, and procedures including Purchasing, Warehousing and Traffic/Logistics operations.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of KPI’s, Procurement best practices/ techniques.
• Excellent business analysis, negotiation skills and command of oral and written English for effective preparation of written reports and analysis covering performance and significant expediting problems and presentation skills to deliver to the management the results of complex analytical studies.
