For our client, a key player among Saudi companies and an industry leader headquartered in Riyadh, with a diverse global investment portfolio covering Real Estate, Telecom, Petrochemicals, Manufacturing etc., OROOK is looking for a Procurement Engineer (MEP)
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project requirements.
Identify, assess, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and subcontractors for MEP equipment, materials, and services, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
Negotiate terms, prices, and conditions with MEP suppliers and contractors, ensuring favorable contract terms and maintaining cost efficiency while mitigating risks.
Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for MEP services and materials, including preparing purchase orders, managing bid processes, and handling RFQs (Requests for Quotation).
Monitor and control procurement budgets, analyze market conditions, and implement cost-saving initiatives while ensuring the quality of MEP materials and services.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to ensure procurement requirements are aligned with project timelines and specifications.
Monitor and assess supplier performance, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon terms and conditions, including service level agreements (SLAs).
Leverage strong MEP technical knowledge, stay updated on the latest trends, innovations.
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards, prepare procurement reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and conduct analysis on procurement activities.
Qualifications:
→Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, PMP) is a plus.
→Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement, with a strong focus on MEP systems and related products/services. Experience in construction or engineering procurement is highly desirable.
→Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and technologies, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components, equipment, and installation procedures.
→Extensive experience in managing the procurement process, including sourcing, tendering, negotiation, and contract management in MEP projects.
→Proficiency in procurement software, ERP, MS Office.
