Job Summary

The Principal Specialist, Supply Chain Management will support the MENA Region Subcontracts Manager in leading the sourcing and acquisition of materials and services, managing supplier performance, and overseeing the subcontract purchase order lifecycle for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) customers. This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is crucial for ensuring that accurate and complete requirements are communicated to suppliers and that all Export/Import requirements are executed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and Acquisition: Support the sourcing and acquisition of materials and services, ensuring alignment with program requirements and strategic objectives.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Supporting supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials and services.
  • Subcontract Lifecycle Management: Support the entire subcontract purchase order lifecycle, from RFP preparation to subcontract placement and management (all subcontract management activities to occur after Proof of Manufacturing)
  • Cost and Price Analysis: Perform complex cost and price analysis, negotiating favorable prices and terms to achieve best value for the company.
  • Export/Import Compliance: Ensure all Export / Import requirements are executed effectively, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, in close alignment with the Global Trade function.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to process improvements through use of CORE methods and tools, driving efficiency and effectiveness in the subcontracting process.
  • Reporting: Report on regional supplier performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with CONUS stationed subcontract managers, including legal, contracts, and compliance, to ensure alignment across subcontracting activities.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, project management, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in procurement, subcontract management, or supply chain management, or advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
  • Knowledge: Ability to develop proficient working knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, with experience in cost and price analysis.
  • Communication: Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
  • Detail-oriented: Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP

Languages: Fluency in English is required. Arabic fluency is preferred
