Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules for engineering, procurement, and construction phases of downstream projects.
Lead planning and scheduling efforts across a portfolio of projects, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with client expectations.
Coordinate input from multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integrated and realistic project timelines.
Perform schedule analysis, including critical path, float, and earned value analysis.
Provide forecasting, variance analysis, and mitigation strategies to support proactive decision-making.
Interface with project managers, engineering leads, procurement, and construction teams to monitor progress and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Prepare and deliver planning reports, dashboards, and KPIs for internal and external stakeholders.
Support risk and change management processes by evaluating schedule impacts of changes and variations.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior planners and schedulers.
Ensure compliance with project controls standards, procedures, and client requirements.
Participate in planning reviews, audits, and schedule health assessments.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience:
Experienced in planning and scheduling in the oil & gas industry.
Significant experience in downstream sectors (refining, petrochemical, gas processing).
Proven track record in EPC/EPCM project environments with complex multi-discipline engineering scopes.
Technical Skills:
Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
Strong understanding of WBS development, schedule risk analysis, and resource loading.
Familiarity with cost control and earned value management principles.
Knowledge of engineering design workflows and procurement/construction integration.
Other Requirements:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and lead planning on large-scale or multiple concurrent projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
