Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for engineering, procurement, and construction phases of downstream projects.

  • Lead planning and scheduling efforts across a portfolio of projects, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with client expectations.

  • Coordinate input from multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integrated and realistic project timelines.

  • Perform schedule analysis, including critical path, float, and earned value analysis.

  • Provide forecasting, variance analysis, and mitigation strategies to support proactive decision-making.

  • Interface with project managers, engineering leads, procurement, and construction teams to monitor progress and resolve scheduling conflicts.

  • Prepare and deliver planning reports, dashboards, and KPIs for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support risk and change management processes by evaluating schedule impacts of changes and variations.

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior planners and schedulers.

  • Ensure compliance with project controls standards, procedures, and client requirements.

  • Participate in planning reviews, audits, and schedule health assessments.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.


Experience:

  • Experienced in planning and scheduling in the oil & gas industry.

  • Significant experience in downstream sectors (refining, petrochemical, gas processing).

  • Proven track record in EPC/EPCM project environments with complex multi-discipline engineering scopes.

Technical Skills:

  • Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

  • Strong understanding of WBS development, schedule risk analysis, and resource loading.

  • Familiarity with cost control and earned value management principles.

  • Knowledge of engineering design workflows and procurement/construction integration.

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and lead planning on large-scale or multiple concurrent projects.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
