Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority on bridge and tunnel design projects across all project stages—from concept to detailed design.
• Lead the design and review of complex structural systems, ensuring technical accuracy, innovation, and compliance with local and international standards (AASHTO, Eurocode, BS, MOT, etc.).
• Manage and mentor structural engineers, designers, and technicians, promoting technical excellence and continuous development.
• Lead project delivery including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control for structural design packages.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and authorities to provide strategic advice, resolve technical issues, and build lasting relationships.
• Oversee preparation of reports, technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals, bids, and presentations, and identifying new opportunities in the Saudi market.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and internal QA/QC processes.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, highway, MEP, and environmental disciplines.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree or PhD preferred).
• 15+ years of professional experience, with a strong portfolio of bridge and tunnel design projects, including at least 5 years in Saudi Arabia.
• Demonstrated leadership in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects within consultancy or design-build environments.
• Strong familiarity with Saudi authority requirements (MOT, Arriyadh Development Authority, Royal Commission, etc.).
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., MIDAS, SOFiSTiK, LUSAS, SAP2000, AutoCAD, Revit).
• Professional certification such as PE, CEng, or equivalent is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage client relationships.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience contributing to business growth.
