PLANNING & SCHEDULING DEPARTMENT MANAGER

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced PLANNING & SCHEDULING DEPARTMENT MANAGER with 15 years of expertise providing leadership supervision and expertise to Planning & Scheduling department personnel. The candidate will providing support to the project/proposal teams and improves planning tools and procedures.

Ensure that planning on project/proposal is complying with COMPANY standards, Quality and HSE

Provides leadership and expertise to a Planning & Scheduling team (10-30 people). Project scope and/ or Phases: Engineering services and EPC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides expertise and leadership to the Scheduling & Planning department
  • Defines the orientations, objectives and budget of the department
  • Ensures the implementation and improvement of company Planning and Scheduling standards and procedures
  • Contributes towards, maintaining and implementing corporate QA & HSES Management System objectives and procedures
  • Develops standards and procedures, ensuring that they are in line with the recognized best practices in the area
  • Anticipates on the work load of the department and identify the resources needed
  • Proposes for each project the adequate organization of the planning and scheduling discipline, the staffing plan and methods and tools adapted and required for the project
  • Fulfills the role of an advisor for project and proposals
  • Collects Planning and Scheduling feedback and implement lessons learnt during project execution


Qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in PLANNING & SCHEDULING.
  • Extensive experience in significant petrochemical, oil, and gas mega projects.
  • Practical experience in coordinating with Saudi Aramco, Saudi Government Authorities and other relevant entities.
  • Strong background in collaborating with operational facilities, Saudi Aramco Departments, Third Parties, and Joint Ventures.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent diploma
  • Advanced experience in Project execution
  • Expert knowledge of Project Planning tools
  • Expert knowledge of project control requirements and project control procedures
  • Expert knowledge of progress measurement systems and Earned value Analysis
  • Expert knowledge of KPI’s and reporting systems
  • Good knowledge about 4D Planning
  • Expert knowledge of Schedule Risk Analysis and Extension of Time analysis
  • Expert knowledge of project benchmarks and statistics
  • Expert to perform peer reviews, mentor team members
  • Fluency in English
  • Deep understanding of the business principles for the Oil & Gas industry
  • Thorough understanding and experience in Project delivery processes and principles
