Job description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Digital Merchandiser to enhance product presentation and performance on our online Abyat store. This role involves utilizing data-driven insights to improve user experience, boost conversion and sales, and create a seamless shopping journey that maximizes conversions and revenue. The ideal candidate will excel at analyzing key metrics, identifying trends, and implementing strategic optimizations to ensure the online store surpasses business objectives.

1. Site Merchandising

  • Organize product categories, collections, and landing pages to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Optimize sorting rules, filters, and search features based on customer behavior, data and business objectives.
  • Ensure product visibility and availability align with inventory levels and demand forecasts.
  • Implement and maintain cross-selling and upselling strategies to maximize conversions.

2. Testing & Optimization

  • Design and execute A/B tests to assess the impact of pricing, product placement, and brand adjacencies.
  • Identify and implement UX improvements based on data insights and user feedback.
  • Continuously optimize site performance, focusing on navigation, search, redirects, and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance merchandising efficiency.
  • Utilize e-commerce platforms and tools to implement merchandising initiatives effectively.

3. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze key e-commerce performance metrics, including conversion rates, traffic, AOV, Bounce rate, sales trends, inventory turnover, and revenue per visitor.
  • Develop and deliver insightful reports and dashboards to stakeholders with actionable recommendations.
  • Track site search behavior and usage patterns to enhance discoverability and optimize product tagging.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews, identifying successes and areas for improvement.
  • Leverage competitive analysis and market data to refine online merchandising strategies.
  • Assess product performance and customer behavior to inform merchandising decisions.
  • Work closely with internal and external Supply Chain and Buying teams to develop OTB strategies tailored to diverse customer preferences across different markets.
  • Analyze inventory data to optimize product placement and promotions.
  • Utilize historical sales data for demand forecasting and aligning product availability with customer needs.

4. Collaboration

  • Partner with Buying, Inventory, and Marketing teams to align on product launches, inventory planning, and promotional strategies.
  • Work closely with UX/UI teams to improve site navigation, search functionality, filtering, and cross-selling for better user engagement.
  • Collaborate with Tech teams to ensure seamless integration of tools, platforms, and systems supporting business goals.
  • Coordinate with Project Management teams to drive the execution of new initiatives and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Engage with external partners to implement innovative features, systems, and technologies.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to create a unified approach to customer satisfaction, business growth, and technology deployment.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce, merchandising, or a similar analytical role in home furnishing category
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Google Analytics, with experience in report and dashboard creation.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce tools like Algolia, Dynamic Yield, Emarsys
  • Strong Excel skills (mandatory).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
