We are looking for a seasoned OCP & VMware Infrastructure Specialist to administer and manage our Oracle Cloud Platform (OCP) and VMware virtualization environments. This role involves overseeing the performance, security, and availability of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring reliable and scalable systems to support business applications.
- Administer and maintain Oracle Cloud Platform (OCP) services, including compute, networking, and storage components.
- Manage, monitor, and maintain VMware infrastructure (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud and virtualization solutions.
- Perform regular system upgrades, patch management, and performance tuning activities.
- Support migration efforts between on-premises infrastructure and Oracle Cloud environments.
- Implement and enforce security, compliance, and disaster recovery/business continuity (DR/BCP) strategies.
- Collaborate with application and development teams to fulfill infrastructure requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including configurations, processes, and infrastructure standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with:
- Oracle Cloud Platform (OCP) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and related tools
- Strong knowledge of cloud compute, networking, and storage services.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible).
- Familiarity with IT security best practices, compliance standards, and monitoring tools.
- Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot hybrid cloud environments effectively.
- Oracle or VMware certifications (e.g., OCI Certified Architect, VCP).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management tools.
- Working knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) in cloud platforms.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
