Naval Architect

As a Naval/Marine Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of marine vessels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in naval architecture, ship design, and marine engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop plans for marine structures, including ships, submarines, and offshore platforms.
• Conduct feasibility studies and analyze design proposals to determine the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and environmental standards.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings and specifications.
• Evaluate and select materials, equipment, and systems suitable for marine construction projects.
• Work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to address design requirements and modifications.
• Conduct structural analyses and simulations to assess the integrity and stability of marine structures.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting naval architecture.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance during the construction and testing phases of marine projects.
• Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Naval/Marine Architect with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools.
• Strong knowledge of naval architecture principles, marine engineering, and structural analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
