Job Purpose

Responsible for coaching and preparing national skeet athletes for high-performance representation at international competitions. The role centers on refining shooting rhythm, timing, and target acquisition through elite-level technical coaching and individualized tactical planning. The National Skeet Coach leads training camps, contributes to athlete selection, and provides hands-on coaching during competitions. Close collaboration with the Director, High Performance (Shooting) ensures strategic alignment and resource coordination for sustained success at the global level.

• Implement and maintain organizational policies, systems, and procedures to ensure efficient operations and compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Job-Specific Accountabilities

National Team Athlete Preparation

• Design and implement advanced skeet shooting training sessions focused on reaction timing, target tracking, and station-specific techniques.
• Provide technical corrections and performance optimization during national camps and competition preparation periods.
• Use scoring analysis and video breakdowns to enhance athlete performance consistency and decision-making under pressure.
  
  

Selection & Performance Management

• Participate in the evaluation and selection of athletes for international competitions based on performance indicators and competition readiness.
• Track individual progression and maintain performance records to support strategic decisions and goal setting.
• Ensure that athlete plans support physical readiness and psychological resilience in high-stakes settings.
  
  

Competition Strategy & Execution

• Guide athletes through competition strategies, including timing, shot rhythm, and wind factor management.
• Travel with the national team to World Cups, Championships, and regional qualifiers, providing tactical insights and ongoing support.
• Lead post-competition technical reviews and integrate key learnings into upcoming training phases.
  
  

Stakeholder Coordination & Compliance

• Align with national federation, SOPC, and ISSF guidelines to ensure all activities meet international shooting standards.
• Promote adherence to anti-doping regulations, athlete welfare policies, and safety protocols.
• Act as a liaison with the Cluster of Sports unit under SOTC to ensure integrated support and resourcing.
