Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all MEP systems are designed, installed, tested, and commissioned to meet project requirements, regulatory standards, and client expectations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, designers, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver integrated, high-quality building systems on time and within budget.
Key Accountabilities

- Lead and manage MEP teams, including engineers, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure effective coordination and execution of site activities.
- Coordinate closely with civil, structural, and architectural teams to resolve technical interfaces and avoid clashes, utilizing coordination drawings and (where applicable) BIM models.
- Monitor MEP project budgets, control costs, and track financial performance related to MEP scopes. Identify and address cost overruns, variations, and value engineering opportunities.
- Develop and maintain detailed MEP construction and commissioning schedules, ensuring milestones are met and potential delays are identified and mitigated.
- Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of all MEP systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting, low current systems, plumbing, fire-fighting, etc.) in line with project requirements and manufacturer recommendations.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures for all MEP activities, ensuring adherence to client specifications, safety standards, and best practices.
- Oversee coordination with suppliers and subcontractors to secure materials, equipment, and services on time and in compliance with project requirements.
- Ensure all MEP works comply with local regulations, building codes, safety regulations, and relevant international standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to MEP design, installation, and commissioning; develop contingency and recovery plans where required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of MEP works, including drawings, test reports, inspection requests, change orders, and progress reports.
- Provide regular MEP progress updates and technical reports to project management and senior management, highlighting key issues, risks, and mitigation actions.
- Support handover activities by ensuring completion of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, training of client representatives, and proper closure of all MEP-related snags.
