Job Purpose:
The primary role of a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is to be a scientific expert and trusted advisor for internal and external stakeholders. Through scientific engagement and collaboration with key opinion leaders, MSLs contribute to advancing medical education, improve understanding of disease areas and patient journeys, as well as treatment options, supporting the safe and effective use of the company's products, and ultimately improving patients' lives
MSLs also provide therapy area & product clinical information training and valuable scientific insights to internal teams
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong peer-to-peer, robust scientific engagement with thought leaders and scientific organizations within the medical community.
- Plan and execute medical affairs interactions with KOLs, sharing high-level scientific information, clinical guidelines, and product attributes focusing on patient outcomes.
- Initiate pre-launch medical activities for upcoming product launches by cultivating robust scientific support externally and internally.
- Address patient journey for new therapy areas in launch plan and refine those for approved products.
- Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from healthcare professionals regarding approved products and those in development in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct comprehensive literature searches and information retrieval to stay abreast of developments.
- Selecting the qualified key opinion leaders for educational and advisory roles, ensuring scientific and educational integrity.
- Support clinical trials, investigator-sponsored studies, publications, clinical and scientific education, advisory boards, and congresses.
- Represent the Medical Department at local conventions and educational booths, fostering knowledge exchange and develop summaries of key data.
- Serve as a reliable scientific resource for the commercial team, offering expertise and guidance for Medical Information.
- Conduct specialized medical training for field personnel to convey scientific information effectively.
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other in-field members while retaining functional independence.
- Facilitate abstract submissions to local Medical Affairs Departments, actively participating in poster sessions and oral presentations.
- Ensure that all activities and interactions are conducted with due regard to applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies, and best practices.
- Review all promotional material in accordance with global and Local standards as well as the promotional codes.
- Support Pharmacovigilance within organization by ensuring safety reporting responsibilities are met by self and guiding relevant teams he/she work with.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in pharmacy or a medical degree.
- Experience in Rare Diseases in Metabolic Disorders field is a definite plus.
- Considerable medical affairs experience and successful track records in the Saudi pharmaceutical industry for at least two years.
- Demonstrates solid analytical skills. Able to identify and understand unmet medical needs, interpret information, and provide solutions in a structured manner.
- Strong communication skills, with high ability to effectively deliver messages & successfully establish relations with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in the preparation & delivery of effective scientific presentations with good public speaking skills in front of medical audience (speaking at scientific educational events, congresses).

- Ability to travel up to 50% of his/her time.

- Valid Saudi Commission For Health Specialties License.
- Valid Driving License.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong command of English language.
