Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching Excellence: Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction to medical students, residents, or healthcare professionals in foundational and clinical medical sciences.
  • Curriculum Innovation: Design, implement, and evaluate competency-based curricula aligned with national/international accreditation standards (e.g., LCME, ACGME).
  • Educational Scholarship: Lead research on medical education pedagogy, including simulation-based learning, inter professional education, or technology-enhanced teaching. Publish findings in high-impact journals.
  • Assessment & Evaluation: Develop and assess learner-centered evaluation tools, including OSCEs, competency frameworks, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Mentorship & Advising: Guide students and junior faculty in academic, career, and research development.
  • Service & Leadership: Participate in institutional committees, accreditation processes, and initiatives to enhance medical education quality.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with healthcare institutions and professional organizations to advance medical education practices.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in medical education theories, technologies, and healthcare trends.


Qualifications

  • Terminal Degree: PhD in Medical Education, in related field after MD/MBBS with formal education training .
  • Teaching Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in medical education, preferably at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
  • Research Record: Demonstrated expertise in medical education research, with publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or grants in the field.
  • Curriculum Expertise: Proven ability to design, revise, and lead curricula using modern pedagogical frameworks (e.g., CBME, flipped classrooms).
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with simulation labs, e-learning platforms, and educational assessment tools and Problem Base learning PBL.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, researchers, and administrators.
